5 STEPS TO START WRITING A BOOK

Learn how to start writing a book in 5 steps

Do you want to fulfill your dream and start your project of writing a book?

See the top 5 steps for you to start from scratch.

1. BE FREE

Keep your mind empty of fears, insecurities, and beliefs. We have a habit of comparing ourselves to other writers and forget what really matters: OURSELVES.

Take bad thoughts out of mind like “I will never get there” or “Nobody will read it.” This is a self-sabotage mechanism; most people are unaware of its capabilities.

Make a list of everything that prevents you from taking the next step, then exchange them for positive things.

2. IDEAS (BRAINSTORMING)

Do not hesitate to write down on a paper sheet everything that comes to your mind, without judgment and criteria. Any idea you have, WRITE IT, even if it will change later.

Answer questions like:

Why creates this story?

What is the differential of this story?

Who is my target audience?

3. GENRE

Define which topic you will address. Read a lot about the genre you chose to create your own lineage.

4. STUDY

Study about writing, spelling, grammar, and literary language.

There are several writing formats you can use.

Learn about the behaviors of your target audience.

5. MAKE A ROUTINE

Look for a quiet and peaceful place, without too much noise, and get your hands dirty. Paper and pen in hand (or your laptop). Take at least one hour every day to write, or set your goal in pages.

Set best times for writing and fit your routine.

It is not as easy as it is not as difficult as it seems.

If you really want to become a writer, you must know that the main things you need are dedication and commitment to yourself.
